Ingredients added to pre-workouts
Pre-workout manufacturers add various active ingredients to the sugar/caffeine mix. Among these we can find:
creatine (a dietary supplement that increases muscular strength during training);
amino acids (that form proteins); taurine (which accelerates the metabolism); citrulline or arginine (which dilates blood vessels and thus helps nutrients reach the muscles) as well as beta-alanine (which prevents muscles from tiring too quickly).
Pre-workouts can also contain, depending on the product brand, electrolytes, vitamin b12 and/or B6, yohimbine (yohimbine bark), citrulline, agmatine, L-tyrosine, theanine, hica, nitrosigine and/or theacrine (a stimulating molecule extracted from Kucha tea), etc.
NUTRITION 87 sells the best pre-workouts available on the market. These products are 100% free of chemicals or herbicides. It is recommended to take 1 or 2 capsules with 250 ml of water, 30 to 45 minutes prior to the training, and this without food. Pre-workouts should not be consumed more than once a day.
